Private Label Pet Products: What to Confirm Before Quotation

A focused inquiry receives a more useful response than a general request for the lowest price. Buyers should first define the selected product, destination market, expected quantity and the level of customization that actually needs to be discussed.

1. Start from a selected product

Provide the supplier model, product image or catalog link. If you are still comparing categories, shortlist a small number of products and explain your channel rather than requesting every available item.

2. Define the customization scope

Separate a logo request from packaging changes, color changes, material changes or structural development. Each level may affect feasibility, quantity, timing and quotation.

  • Logo or brand marking
  • Color and finish
  • Packaging format and language
  • Product specification changes
  • Required documentation

3. Give commercial context

State destination, sales channel, target launch stage and estimated quantity. If the quantity is not final, give a realistic range and explain whether you are evaluating a sample, a trial order or an established distribution program.

4. Keep unconfirmed terms out of marketing

Do not publish certification, performance, lead-time or MOQ claims until they are confirmed for the exact product and order. Keep the formal quotation and written order confirmation as the reference.
